Wesley Madhevere was born on 4 September 2000 in Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe. He was considered a prodigy from a very young age, with good batting ability and accurate right arm off break bowling. He was included in the Under-19 team for the 2016 Under-19 World Cup at the age of 15.

The following year in 2021, Wesley Madhevere made his Test debut against Afghanistan. But he would soon like to forget this innings as he was dismissed for a golden duck. Wesley has established himself as a T20 regular. Prior to his List A debut, he was named as the vice-captain of Zimbabwe’s squad for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
