Three Days Of State Mourning In Uttarakhand Indian Military Academy Commandant Parade Canceled

The passing out parade is proposed to be held on December 11 at the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun. Earlier today the Commandant’s Parade has also been canceled.

Country’s first CDS General Bipin Rawat dies in Air Force helicopter crash

On Wednesday, the country’s first CDS General Bipin Rawat died in an Air Force helicopter crash in Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. His wife and 11 other people also died in the accident. When the accident happened, 14 people were on board the helicopter. Out of which 13 died while one Group Captain Varun Singh is undergoing treatment at the Army Hospital.

When did the accident happen?

Official sources said the helicopter carrying Rawat and others took off at 11:48 am from Sulur Air Force Base in nearby Coimbatore and was to land at DSSC, Wellington in Udhagamandalam 45 minutes later. He told that the accident happened at 12.22 pm. Earlier, the CDS had reached the Air Force base from Delhi at 11.34 am by an Ember aircraft.

Three days of state mourning in Uttarakhand

Three days of state mourning have been declared in the state on the death of CDS General Bipin Rawat. There will be state mourning in the state from December 9 to December 11. The national flag will remain at half-mast. Orders were made by the General Administration Department. State mourning orders were issued on behalf of Secretary Vinod Kumar Suman.

Commandant Parade of Indian Military Academy canceled

The passing out parade is proposed to be held on December 11 at the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun. Before that, the Commandant’s Parade (last rehearsal parade before the last passing out parade) to be held on Thursday has been canceled. This decision has been taken due to the untimely demise of CDS General Bipin Rawat.

Gentleman cadets of 319 Indian and 68 foreign friends will become officers

A rehearsal parade was organized in full dress on Tuesday before the POP. 319 Indian and 68 foreign Gentleman Cadets participated in the parade. On December 11, after passing out from IMA, he will become an officer in the army. On December 11, 319 Gentleman Cadets of 319 Indian and 68 foreign friends will pass out and assume the responsibility as a lieutenant at the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun. This time the chief guest will be the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind. However, now the decision has not been taken whether there will be POP or not or what will be its nature.
