According to the news of Metro, the officials disclosed. Lauren Smith-Fields, 23, a woman found dead after going on a Bumble date, died of acute intoxication. Officials made this disclosure a day before Lauren’s family members accused the police of being racially insensitive.

The news of the death was received after going on a date

In the US, Lauren Smith-Fields, 23, of Connecticut, was killed by “extreme intoxication due to the combined effects of fentanyl, promethazine, hydroxyzine, and alcohol”. This death happened when she went on a date with a person on the dating app Bumble. Connecticut’s chief medical examiner said he found no evidence of dishonesty and treated his death as an accident.

Family members allege negligence

The circumstances surrounding this sudden death are now under criminal investigation by the local police. The Smith-Fields family feels that the police have handled the matter poorly. After Smith-Field’s December 12 death, it took the department two weeks to gather evidence. His family was not informed of his death until two days later. Her family also believes that even if Lauren had died due to heavy intoxication, then she would not have taken these medicines on her own volition. Police is misleading in this matter.
