The Royal Cavalry Takes Part In The Windsor Horse Show

Based on royal orders from His Majesty the Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, the Sultanate, represented by the Royal Cavalry at the Diwan of the Royal Court, participated in the Royal Windsor Horse Show in the United Kingdom.

The event was organized to mark the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the Head of the Commonwealth.
At the royal invitation, more than 500 horses and 1,000 horsemen, musicians, artists, and representatives from different countries took part in the event.

The Royal Cavalry exhibits its traditional horse art in the Sultanate of Oman. The Royal Cavalry also played Omani and International music on the first day of the event.

Dr. Sirhan Salim Al Zaidi said

Dr. Sirhan Salim Al Zaidi, Director General of the Royal Cavalry, said that the Sultanate’s participation at the Royal Windsor Horse Show came on an official invitation to attend the show following communication with the show’s organizing committee.

“We were keen to showcase the cultural heritage of the Sultanate in this international event,” he said, adding that such shows contribute to the exchange of expertise between the participants.
