The price of LPG cylinder has been increased by Rs 15 per cylinder. After the latest increase, the price of 14.5 kg domestic gas cylinder in Delhi has increased from Rs 884.50 to Rs 899.50.

Talking about cities other than Delhi, the price of LPG cylinder in Kolkata has increased from Rs 911 to Rs 926. At the same time, the price of LPG in Mumbai has increased from Rs 844.50 to Rs 899.50 and in Chennai, the price of non-subsidized cylinder has now increased to Rs 915.50.

Let us inform that earlier on October 1, the oil companies had increased the price of 19 Kg commercial gas cylinder by Rs 43.5 per cylinder. However, there was no increase in the prices of domestic LPG cylinders at that time. The cost of 19 kg commercial gas in Delhi is Rs 1736.5. The price of commercial gas cylinder in Kolkata is Rs 1805.5. Rs 1685 in Mumbai and Rs 1867.5 per cylinder in Chennai.

Prices increased by Rs 205 so far this year

The price of LPG has increased by Rs 205 so far this year. The price of domestic LPG has more than doubled in the last seven years. The retail selling price of domestic gas as on March 1, 2014 was Rs 410.5 per cylinder (14.2 kg). In early September, the price of a non-subsidised 14.2 kg gas cylinder was increased by Rs 25. After which the price of the cylinder had gone up to Rs 884.50. Earlier in the beginning of August also, LPG prices were increased by Rs 25. After which the LPG cylinder became Rs 859.5. At the same time, in July also, the price of gas was increased by Rs 25.5. After which the price of LPG had reached Rs 834.50 in Delhi. Earlier in April, the price of 14.2 kg cylinder was cut for the last time. Then the gas companies had reduced the price by Rs 10.
