Former Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli on Monday joined his franchise for the 15th edition of IPL 2022. RCB gave the news of Virat joining the team through social media. Royal Challengers Bangalore shared four different photos of Virat on their official Twitter handle. RCB wrote the caption, ‘King Kohli has arrived! That’s all, this is the news. The upcoming season of IPL will be held in Mumbai from March 26. In the first match, the teams of last-time winners Chennai Super Kings and runners-up Kolkata Knight Riders (CSK v KKR) will face each other.

After the edition, Virat left the captaincy of RCB

Virat Kohli captained RCB for 9 years. After the 14th edition of IPL, Virat left the captaincy of RCB. He had announced in the middle of the tournament that he would resign from the post of captaincy after this season. Kohli will now play under the captaincy of former South African captain Faf du Plessis. Du Plessis, who played for Chennai Super Kings last year, has been added by RCB in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction for Rs 7 crore.
