Chuck D, half of Public Enemy, has sold a large stake in his songwriting list to Reach Music. According to Rolling Stone, Reach Music was Chuck D’s publisher for more than 20 years. Received the author’s share in the artist list. But not the publisher’s share, which makes up the other half of the songwriting royalties.

This deal includes over 300 songs. It also includes Public Enemy’s most famous releases from 1987 to 2012 – during which they dropped the album and track. Such as It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back and “Fight the Power—But It Doesn’t Have All of Chuck D’s List.”
Chuck D shared in a statement. “This deal was the right time for the further and logical growth of our business together in a changing industry.” “Reach has always been at the forefront of establishing respect for hiphop genre songwriting and publication-wise. They will continue to take care of my works.”
