Who could destroy the enemy bunkers by going at a height of 15-16 thousand feet. But this project got approval in the year 2006. Hindustan Aeronautics Limited prepared
The team of ABP News reached the ‘Facility’ of HAL from Bangalore in September 2019 to introduce Light Combat Helicopter, LCH to the countrymen and the world. Because LCH has been prepared by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), the largest and most trusted public sector unit of India’s defense sector. From HAL’s facility itself, ABP News correspondent flew in LCH helicopter with HAL’s test pilot. This was no ordinary flight. A special responsibility was assigned to the test pilot for this mission. The responsibility was to destroy a target on the ground with his attack helicopter from the sky. For this, he had to simulate in the sky i.e. trial-test. Because this attack helicopter has been designed to destroy the enemy’s army tanks or terrorists’ hideouts by raining fire from the sky.
Features of LCH:
The Light Combat Helicopter ie LCH Helicopter weighs about 6 tons. Due to this, it is very light. While the weight of Apache is about 10 tons. Due to the low weight, it can take off and land with its missile and other weapons even in a high-altitude area.
Specially taken from France in an LCH attack helicopter. ‘Mistral’ air-to-air missiles and air-to-ground missiles can be used.
LCH has two pods of 12-12 rockets of 70 mm each. Apart from this, a 20 mm gun is fitted in the nose of the LCH, which can rotate in any direction in 110 degrees.
All the features of the cockpit are displayed on the helmet of the pilot.
