Bollywood veteran Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan on Monday appeared at the Enforcement Directorate office for questioning. The ED had issued a notice to him in the Panama Papers case and asked him to appear. Even before this notice issued to him. But twice he had sought exemption from appearance. The agency has recorded Aishwarya’s statement under the Foreign Exchange Management Act.

Before Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, her husband Abhishek Bachchan also questioned by the Enforcement Directorate. Not only this, some media reports have claimed that soon Amitabh Bachchan can also be questioned by the agency in this matter. The Panama Papers scandal began on April 3, 2016, when about 11.15 million files leaked from the company’s digital archives.
