Pak Women Cricket Team Head Coach Sacked

The PCB has sacked Iqbal Imam, the head coach of the Pakistan National Women’s team. Although the board has retained Bismah Maroof as the captain of the team till 2020-21. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Friday sacked the head coach of the national women’s team Iqbal Imam.

But Bismah Mahroof was retain as the captain for the 2020-21 season. Along with this, the board also announced an increase in the central contracts of women cricketers. It announced contracts for 9 emerging players.

The board said that it has increased the contract amount by 33 percent for the players included in category ‘A’ of the contract while 30 and 25 percent for the category ‘B’ and ‘C’ respectively. The ‘A’ category of central contracts includes Bismah Maroof and Javeria Khan, the ‘B’ category comprises Alia Riaz, Diana Baig, and Sidra Nawaz, and the ‘C’ category comprises Anam Amin, Nahida Khan, Nida Dar, and Oma Sohail.
