Kylian Mbappe Created History Broke the Record of Fellow Lionel Messi

With the help of two goals each from Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) beat Club Bruges 4-1. With this, Mbappe has become the fastest young player to score 30 goals in the history of the Champions League. Mbappe has achieved this position at the age of 22 years 352 days. He broke the record of Messi, who did this feat at the age of 23 years 131 days. Messi made this record in the year 2010. Mbappe has scored 11 goals in 22 matches for PSG this season while scoring 14 assists.

Manchester City, on the other hand, however, lost 2-1 to RB Leipzig in Group A. While topping Citigroup, PSG managed to advance as the second-place team. Meanwhile, Ajax beat Sporting 4-2 to register their sixth consecutive win in Group C. Ajax striker Sebastian Haller holds the record for scoring goals in all matches. Sporting managed to qualify by finishing second despite the defeat. Real Madrid beat Inter Milan 2-0 in Group D.

Atletico Madrid reach the last-16 of the Champions League

Atlético Madrid made their way into the last 16 of the Champions League football competition after beating Porto 3–1 in a match that witnessed three red cards, on-field skirmishes, and three last-minute goals. Atletico needed a win in this Group B match to qualify. Porto also had a chance to qualify. He started this match by staying in second place. It was one point ahead of Atletico and AC Milan.

Liverpool beat 2-1 to register a sixth consecutive win

Liverpool beat Milan 2–1 for their sixth consecutive win. In such a situation, the match between Porto and Atletico became important. Two players from Atletico and one from Porto had to leave the field in the second half due to red cards. Antoine Griezmann gave Atletico the lead in the 56th minute. Angel Correa and Rodrigo de Paul scored after 90 minutes of play to give Atletico a 3-0 lead. Porto then got a penalty in the last minute which was converted by Sergio Oliveira.
