But the Delhi bowlers bowled tremendously in the middle overs and dropped six wickets in seven runs in Kolkata’s three overs.

Its captain Rishabh Pant looked very emotional after Delhi’s defeat in the breath-taking match. He said after the match, ‘I don’t have the answer to how I feel. After the fall of six wickets, we were confident that we would take the match forward, but we could not. He bowled well in the middle overs, we couldn’t rotate the strike.

While praising his team, Pant also encouraged his team and said that Delhi Capitals have always been known to make a comeback, hopefully, we will come back next year. We played good cricket this season, we learn whatever happened, hopefully, we will do well next season.

Delhi Capitals team topped the points table by winning 10 matches on the league stage. But after that in the playoffs, they lost to Chennai in the first qualifier and Kolkata in the second qualifier. Kolkata’s team will now play the final for the third time and this time they will face Chennai Super Kings again.
