IND vs NZ Know why Responsibility Handed over to KS Bharat in Place of Wriddhiman Saha

The first test match is being played between India and New Zealand at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. Today is the third day of the match and the opening pair of Tom Latham and Will Young are on the field for New Zealand. On the third day, however, India’s wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha did not take the field and KS Bharat was given the responsibility in his place.

KS Bharat entrusted the responsibility of replacing Wriddhiman Saha

37-year-old Saha got a chance in this match and also batted in the first innings. However, Saha could not do much with the bat and was dismissed after scoring one run in 12 balls. He was caught by Tom Blundell by Tim Southee. Saha kept wickets for 55 overs on the second day but did not reach the morning session of the third day.

BCCI updated

The BCCI informed about Saha’s injury. It was told that he has a strain on his neck and the BCCI medical team is keeping an eye on it. The team is keeping its focus on the betterment of Saha’s health. In his absence, KS Bharat will do wicketkeeping for the Indian team.

The Indian team got a big blow on the third day

The Indian team suffered a major setback on the third day of the match against New Zealand. The team’s experienced wicketkeeper Saha did not come to the field to field. According to the information, he had complained of pain in the neck. Because of which he could not get on the field. Saha got a chance in this match when regular wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant rested. The setback came even before India landed in the match on the third day.

Wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha injured

On the third day, the Indian team suffered a setback in the morning. Wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha did not take the field due to injury. India had scored 345 runs on the second day of the match. In reply, New Zealand’s team scored 129 runs without any loss.

Bharat instead of Saha

KLS Bharat, who made a place in the Indian team after performing well in domestic cricket, kept in the team as a reserve wicketkeeper. The selectors had given him a place in the team as a substitute for the wicketkeeper. In IPL too, Bharat caught everyone’s attention with his batting and wicketkeeping. After Saha’s injury, he got a chance to enter the Test match against New Zealand.
