Hockey Junior World Cup Hockey Tournament Will Start in Africa From December 5

A total of 16 teams are participating in this tournament. Argentina’s team, which won the Junior World Cup in 2016, will again try to repeat their performance. India will be captained by Lalremsiami and vice-captain Ishika Choudhary. Salima Tete and Sharmila Devi have also been included in the junior team. Both these players will also be part of the senior hockey team.

Women’s hockey team can compete with any team

Women’s hockey team coach Jeanneke Schopman said, “It was very difficult to select the final 18 players because all the players in the core 28 have worked hard and improved a lot over the past few months. India’s first match will be against Russia

India’s first match in Group C will be against Russia on 6 December. After this, Team India will face defending champion Argentina on December 7. India’s third match in the Robin League will be against Japan on 9 December. The knockout matches will hold from December 10 to December 16.
