Today is the birthday of Indian cricketer Robin Uthappa. He got a chance to play in only 13 T20 International matches for Team India. But he made an important contribution to the team to get the 2007 T20 World Cup. Recently, he also won the title of IPL.

Robin plays for Karnataka. He scored 66 runs for India ‘B’ against India ‘A’ in the 2005 Challenger competition. The next year in the same competition, he scored 100 runs in 93 balls for the same team, with the help of which India ‘A’ could win. After that, he was select for the Indian cricket team.
Debut in T20 World Cup
Robin Uthappa of Karnataka started his T20 International career with the T20 World Cup in 2007. He scored a brilliant 50 against Pakistan in the very first match he played in Durban. After the match was tied, the team won the ball out. He played the last international match in July 2015. Talking about his overall T20 career, he has scored 7042 runs in 279 matches. Has scored 40 fifties.

Robin made a good start to his international career by scoring 86 runs in his first match. After playing in India against England in April 2006, he got his next chance against the West Indies in January 2007, when he scored 70 runs in just 41 balls. Robin was selected for the 2007 Cricket World Cup, but he could only score 30 runs in 3 matches play there. He scored 47 runs in 33 balls in the 2007 NatWest tournament.
Due to which India won the match. Despite being 2-3 before the match, after this innings, the hopes of India’s series-win were awakened. Robin scored 50 against Pakistan in the 20–20 World Cup played in South Africa. With this, he became India’s first batsman to score a half-century in 20–20. India won this match by bowl-out, in which also Robin bowled a ball that hit the wicket.

Robin Uthappa has also won 2 IPL titles. In 2014, he performed brilliantly for KKR and captured the title. Then Uthappa captured the Orange Cap with 660 runs. He had scored 5 half-centuries during this period. In the current IPL season, he made CSK the champion. In the final, he played an aggressive inning of 31 runs off 15 balls. In the 2011 IPL season, Pune bought him for Rs 9.4 crore. Then he became the second most expensive player to sold in the auction.
