Girls Aloud Members Will Reunite For A Charity Run In Honor Of Sarah Harding

The members of Girls Aloud will run a special Race for Life to honor their late bandmate Sarah Harding’s wish to raise money for breast cancer research.

Kimberly Walsh, Nadine Coyle, and Nicola Roberts

Cheryl, Kimberly Walsh, Nadine Coyle, and Nicola Roberts will be fundraising throughout the year, including a 5km running event called Race for Life for Sarah, which aims to celebrate Harding’s life as well as raise money.
The singer died last September at the age of 39, after revealing that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer, which had spread to other parts of her body.

Race for Life for Sara

The 5km event will take place on Sunday 24 July at the Race for Life in Hyde Park, London, and the Race for Life for Sarah will begin at 11.30 am as a special extra, and will feature Cheryl, Coyle, and Roberts.

Posting on Instagram Story, Cheryl said

Walsh is completing the 5km distance at her home, and those who cannot travel to London for the event are encouraged to race for life at home for Sarah at their convenience.
Posting to her Instagram Story, Cheryl said: “The only thing [Harding] really wanted was a gala dinner, so while he was walking and we were doing that, we thought we could do more.” And we’ve decided to do a Race for Life for Sarah in Hyde Park on July 24th.

Roberts and Walsh published a poster of the event on their Instagram page.

Roberts’ caption read: “Come and join us in Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life for Sarah in Hyde Park on Sunday 24 July.
“In memory of Sarah, together we will raise funds for important breast cancer research.
“Let’s come together and make this a beautiful day and contribute to making a difference for other women as well.

So did Walsh’s caption, calling the incident “amazing news”.

“We hope you will sign up and share this moment with us,” she urged.
The event is non-competitive, and participants can run, walk or jog along the 5 km route. Race for Life for Sarah is part of Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life event series in partnership with Tesco.
The fundraising efforts will culminate with a big gala dinner at the end of the year.
