Harjinder Kaur won bronze medal
Women’s weightlifter Harjinder Kaur won the bronze medal by luck in the 71kg category. He lifted India’s ninth medal at CWG 2022 by lifting a total of 212 kg. The Indian men’s hockey team had to play a 4-4 draw in their Pool B match against England. Boxers Amit Panghal, Mohammad Hasamuddin and Ashish Kumar Choudhary reached the quarterfinals.
In weightlifting, Ajay Singh finished fourth in men’s 81kg. Swimmer Sajan Prakash failed to make it to the semi-finals of the 100m butterfly. Women’s squash player Joshna Chinappa lost 0-3 (9-11, 5-11, 13-15) in the quarterfinals. In gymnastics, Pranati Nayak finished fifth in the vault final.

Indian women’s weightlifter Harjinder Kaur has won a bronze medal in the 71kg category just by luck. He lifted India’s ninth medal at CWG 2022 by lifting a total of 212 kg. Harjinder lifted 113 kg in his first attempt in the clean and jerk round. He lifted 116 kg in the second attempt and 119 kg in the third attempt.
