On 3 January 2022, the police received information from Congress leader Rita Yadav that unidentified bike-borne miscreants fired at him and he shot in the leg. Rita Yadav, who injured in a hurry, sent to Sultanpur District Hospital for treatment.

Conspiracy hatched for political gains

After this incident came to light, when the police started the investigation, it came to know that Rita Yadav had hatched this conspiracy to become a candidate in the Legislative Assembly elections and increase political stature. Disclosing the whole matter, the police said that Rita Yadav along with two youths named Dharmendra Yadav and Mohammad Mustakim planned the whole incident and Rita Yadav shot on her leg.

Assembly elections held in seven phases in UP

Let us inform you that this time in Uttar Pradesh, 403 assembly seats will be elected in seven phases and the counting of votes done on 10 March. The assembly elections in UP will begin on February 10 with voting in 58 seats in 11 districts of the western part of the state. This followed by 55 seats in the second phase on February 14, 59 seats in the third phase on February 20, 60 seats in the fourth phase on February 23, 60 seats in the fifth phase on February 27, 57 seats in the sixth phase on March 3. But on March 7, voting held in 54 seats in the seventh and final phase.
