Canadian singer Drake withdraws from Grammy nomination

Renowned Canadian singer and rapper Drake has decided to withdraw his two Grammy Canadian singers drake. However, the motive behind his decision is not yet clear. According to a report, the 35-year-old artist has withdrawn two of his nominations – Best Rap Album for Certified Lover Boy and Best Rap Performance for his song Way 2 Sexy. The singer has taken this decision after consultation with its management.

Nominations announced in November

This time the nominations for the Grammys 2022 announced earlier this year in November. In the nomination, the name of many musicians included twice in the most popular category. Including Album of the Year. Famous actors like Kanye West, Chris Brown, and Taylor Swift were nominated against each other. Taylor Swift’s name has since been removed by the Academy because she made a false submission.

Taylor Swift’s name removed from Grammy nominations for this reason

Actually, Taylor Swift collaborated with ‘Album of the Year’. Three persons had applied as the author of the song. Later the Academy noted that the nomination not done as per the rules. Because according to the new rules of Forbes, the rules of nomination have been changed. Earlier, many people including producers, recording engineers, song mixers used to make nominations. But now only the author and singer of the song can nominate. Because of which Taylor Swift’s name has been removed. But still the singer can win the award for his album ‘Evermore’.

At the same time, in the album category, J. Cole’s The Off Season, Nas Kings’ Disease II, Tyler, The Creators’ Call Me If You Get Lost and Kanye West’s Donda will see a fight. Here, Drake has won four Grammys before this. These include two awards for “Hotline Bling” in 2017, “God’s Plan” in 2019 and an award for Take Care in 2013.
