Silver medal for BWF World Tour Finals PV Sindhu

PV Sindhu had to be content with a silver medal in the BWF World Tour Finals on Sunday. The Indian shuttler was defeated in straight games by Aan Seong of South Korea. Missed to win gold for the second time

Seong had earlier won the Indonesia Masters and Indonesia Open titles. She also defeated Sindhu PV Sindhu in the quarter-finals of the Denmark Open in October. It was not an easy match: Sindhu

PV Sindhu said after the loss in the final, ‘It was a good match. Seong is a great player. So I don’t think it was going to be easy. I was ready for a tough competition. I should not have given him a chance to take the lead from the beginning. This is a bit disappointing. But there was a lot to learn.”

Will now prepare for the world championship

The 26-year-old said, “It’s been a good three weeks in Bali. I will return from here with many positives and prepare for the World Championship with a fresh mind.

Korean player dominated Sindhu from the beginning

Sindhu once again looked uncomfortable against the 19-year-old from Korea. She could not advance her aggressive game nor could she use the entire court. Seong made excellent use of the net and thwarted Sindhu’s plan with a fine strike on the shuttle. He saved points by diving on several occasions during the match. At the beginning of the match, Sindhu was trailing 0-4. Sindhu tried to make a comeback. But the Korean player did not give him a chance to collect many points at once.
