All the arrested Bangladeshi nationals have been handed over to Police Station Hemnagar Coastal for further legal proceedings.
According to the statement issued by BSF. On December 12, on the basis of reliable information, the soldiers of Border Outpost Shrimp, 118th Corps, Sector Kolkata. In a special operation, seven Bangladeshi nationals arrested. All of them were trying to come to India illegally from Bangladesh. The arrested Bangladeshi nationals include 4 men and 3 women.
All the arrested accused are residents of Faridpur, Bangladesh.
The arrested Bangladeshi nationals have been identified as Jehangir Mollik (age 51 years), Nanu Mulla (age 38 years), Bilal Sheikh (age 31 years), Sohan Sheikh (age 19 years), Heena Begum (40 years), Sumi Begum (age 20 years). years) and Samjeeda Begum (age 22 years). All of them are residents of District Narel and District Faridpur, Bangladesh. During the initial interrogation, everyone has declared themselves to be citizens of Bangladesh. All of them were coming to India from Bangladesh by illegally crossing the border in search of employment.

He further told that a few days ago he had gone to Bangladesh. Was coming back to Babu Bazaar, (Khidirpur) Kolkata today. For this work, he had given Taka 10,000/- BD to a Bangladeshi broker.
Were trying to enter India with the help of touts
During interrogation, Nanu Mulla told me that 2 years ago she was a Bangladeshi broker. Came to India from Bangladesh by illegally crossing the border with help. And Yelanka, (Bengaluru) was going to Karnataka and doing labor work. Today, with the help of touts, he was going back there. For this work, he had given 4,000/- BD to a Bangladeshi broker. He further told that about 100 Bangladeshi citizens live there illegally and do labor work. During interrogation, Heena Begum told that she had come to Lalgola, Murshidabad, West Bengal 02 years ago to do labor work. Today she was coming back to India in search of employment with her three children and a maternal uncle’s girl, Samjida Begum. For this work, he has paid 10,000/- each to Sariful, Village Gopalganj, District Faridpur, Bangladesh. He further told that 40 to 50 Bangladeshi citizens work in Lalgola, Murshidabad.
