Blade Runner 2099 series directed by Game of Thrones alum Jeremy Podeswa on Amazon
‘Game of Thrones’ alumnus Jeremy Podeswa stars in Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming Limited | Has signed on to direct the pilot of the series ‘Blade Runner 2099’. Podeswa, most recently behind HBO Max’s “Station Eleven”. The award-nominated director will also serve as producing director and executive producer of “Blade Runner 2099.”

Alcon Entertainment and Scott Free Productions
A TV sequel to the movie “Blade Runner 2049” (itself a sequel to the landmark original “Blade Runner”), the new series comes from showrunner/executive producer Silka Luisa (“Shining Girls”). Ridley Scott is also the executive producer of “Blade Runner 2099,” which comes from Alcon Entertainment and Scott Free Productions. Also joining the writers room is Tom Speziali (“The Leftovers”), who will also serve as an executive producer.

Amazon revealed
“Blade Runner 2099” has been a long time coming. Scott first revealed the series was in the works in November 2021, while Amazon revealed it was in development in February 2022. The series was officially ordered last September. A plot secret has been kept for the new Prime Video series.

Michael Green (“Logan”), author of “Blade Runner 2049,” is on board as a non-writing executive producer, along with Alcon Entertainment co-founder Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson Alcon TV head Ben Roberts; Scott Free Products. David W. Zucker and Clayton Kruger; Cynthia Yorkin; Frank Giustra; and Isa Dick Hackett.
