Supporting Tim Paine, the Australian Cricketers Association (ACA) said on Friday that it is sad. That this wicketkeeper felt the need to resign as the Test captain of the team. The ACA said, ‘Tim humbly upheld the dignity of the award that comes with the rank of the Australian captain. He played this role well in the difficult times of Australian cricket. Tim has clearly made a mistake though. But he will continue to get the full support of the ACA.’ PAN will be available for selection even after stepping down from the captaincy.

According to the information, fast bowler Pat Cummins can go as the new captain for the Ashes series starting from 8 December. However, it has not officially announced yet.
