Atal Bihari Vajpayee was born on this day i.e. 25 December 1924. His father’s name was Krishna Bihari Vajpayee. Atal was a native of the Agra district of Uttar Pradesh. However, he took his education from Victoria College in Gwalior which is now known as Laxmibai College.
The country’s former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee had held the post of PM three times.
Atal Bihari Vajpayee contested the Lok Sabha elections for the first time in the year 1952. Atal was one of the founders of Jana Sangh and was also its national president from 1968 to 1973.
