Bodies of three porters who went missing due to heavy snowfall in Uttarkashi were recovered. These three porters were with a patrolling team of ITBP. Whose location was not available since October 17. On the other hand, many tourists and travelers are stranded in Uttarakhand due to the closure of roads across the state due to heavy rains between Sunday and Tuesday.
Out of which dozens of people from Bengal are also included. The state government estimates that around 70 people from Bengal are stranded. Uttarakhand has also started a helpline to help the stranded people. Which is providing 24 hours service.

Three porters went with a patrolling team of ITBP. Which had disappeared due to heavy snowfall. A contingent had gone out on patrol from the ITBP post in Nilapani, bordering the international border. In the heavy snowfall, ITBP personnel somehow managed to save themselves safely, but three porters were killed in the snow. ITBP conducted a search operation and recovered the bodies of the three after three days.
Travelers from Bengal stuck in Uttarakhand
A team of five people from Bagnan in West Bengal has been told in Pithoragarh. With whom no contact is being made. Similarly, a batch of eight people is stuck in Bageshwar. These people were trying to get out of here on Monday. But got stuck there due to landslide. A team of about 12 people are trapped in Joshimath and a batch of 14 people in Kathgodam.
On the other hand, quoting the tourism department of West Bengal, it was said in the news that they have received an estimate of about 70 people from the Uttarakhand government. As soon as the situation becomes normal, the Bengal government is going to take the initiative for the rescue and safe return of these people.
